You know me by now right? I love boats and I always have surprising stuff to do! So last week when somebody at work said something like Ej, I've organized an extra ticket for THE boattrip in the weekend and asked if I wanted to be in, I could only presume this was a rhetorical question ;)
'Sure I will join. What are we doing??'
Ow, we are going with 7 gigantic boats on the lake with dinner and drinks and tie them together on the middle and dance later on
'Oke I'm in!'
Turns out that my work has rented out all the public boats on the lake for staff and tickets were WANTED for months. I just starting working there but got a ticket thrown in my lap. Beautiful right!
So as you see on the picture above there was also a very luxurious boat with us, but we were on a 90 year old piece of Luzerner history. It literally felt like being on the Titanic that old was this 'Dampfschiff' Plaquettes were on board and it really was specal to see how old this ship was! The old machinery is still visible but protected. And smoke comes off of it when the enigine stops. Think what you want about that :D
The captains also seemed to be having good fun because for about half an hour all the boats were going laps around each other so we all have a good chance to wave and admire the other boats.
And all of this was at full speed, it seems the captains have done this more often because sometimes we were really close to the other boats. Quite an experience I would say! Even I still get amazed by stuff and I am very happy with that.
At a certain point all of these boats were connected to each other and we were able to walk from one boat to another. I was really astonished by how pretty but super old fashioned they all were on board. A very cool experience!
Even more bizar was going back to Luzern city. All of the city light were so beautiful and it was amazing how close the boat went to the main bridge. I've never seen a boat do this, so clearly he was doing this just for fun.! Isn't this view like it is fake so cool? I fell from the one surprise into another, and all of this was arranged literally 2 days before.
