27th October,2026 Tuesday I called my mother in the evening and shared my promotion news on phone . She was such happy I can not express myself on writing .She put the phone on hold and went outside from room to balcony at my building where my father was reading books .
My Mother called my father “ Suniye ji aapko ek khushkhabri sunana hai .Apki ki lado beti ka promotion hua hai wo bhi 20% Salary hike ke sath”
My father was so happy and excited .He also felt little emotional and talking slowly with my mother that i put my effort to get this job in Microsoft Company in Kolkata.
Both my Father and Mother Started remembering those days when i passed my bachelor in Information Technology from kolkata IEM but due to Corona Pandemic i was not find any placement by my college .
Sometimes i cry in front of god and cursed myself about why my career got such pandemic troublesome .My parents spent lot money on my education and make me this much capable but when there was time to get job ,This pandemic started and spoiled my 2 years .
In 2023 got one medium level IT Company where i started my career as cyber security executive .The Company was such small where the boss only hired me and other 2 IT Associate .The domain was Cyber Security Threat and protection handling .
I kept trying since my first job to move in MNC companies like Microsoft .My Parents had dreamt big about me and that day came when i got promotion .
In the building ,where my parents were living ,There was other family living in different floor .
My parents calked Sharma ji ,Actually Sharma ji was my father best friend at same building and his son was also working in same Company in Kolkata .
My father said to sharma ji that how i am promoted after my hard work and this happiness is quite fulfilling and joyous but other side from Sharma ji , Something bad happened which my parents was not completely aware .
Sharma ji son Piyush got email from its Company Microsoft “ Its regret to inform you that you are no more employed in our organisation due to retrenchment and as company we are sorry”
For short time , Piyush was not ready to believe and thought it may be spam but he started getting group call on whats app and in other social media platform that hundred of employees started laid off by Microsoft and the reason was not such which can be justified or improve in skill to fit into.
The reason was AI interference in fintech and software company. AI just doing the job of what human use to do.AI even working faster and with full corectness where plenty of time and energy got saved .Important thing is Money and Tax which they use to give to employees and Income tax got saved by company . AI now came to such power where they can handle such task .
Unfortunately Coding and Data Analytics was earlier introduced by AI and because easy handle task by AI, we could have learnt other skill for livelihood .
Sharma ji son Piyush could not know Microsoft sack him due to AI heavy investment or low budget . Piyush had such loan and liability to pay someone so later he can not control his emotion and started .
AI now easy story writing and coding , AI can cook food and drink ,AI can now filter your Gmail or drive .
AI basically kills lakh job and piyush Sharma was one of them. His father was little sad on piyush but also encourage to find better one.
My father and piyush father started talking and promise to each other about share sad and happiness .
Microsoft like big company recently lay off around 60k employee globally where became non improving personalities
My father encourage their son to be little more care full and never be depend upon one source of income .
Today what a scene , one side due to promotion I and my parents was so good but other side due to layoff ,their parents was little upset and stressed .
I understand how people feel when they work well and found that this app or website is not working well .
Microsoft works well but due to AI mediation it has started felexible . Retrench candiadate online from job .
I understood ,Company will stop thinking about you if you become less important ,less productive ,less achieveable . AI can do everything even small things .
Today due to my hard work i got promotion but its hardly recognised by any of my follower .
