"Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever."
-Lance Armstrong
Life is an endurance race, not a sprint. Part of life is enduring through the hard times and then reaping the rewards of the struggle.
As an employee with 10-years of experience in my field, I have gone through struggles that led me to consider quitting. Rough deadlines, unfriendly coworkers and a job with ill-defined objectives pushed me to consider quitting. Had I quit, I would have missed out on amazing experiences, retirement savings and insurance benefits.
Do not quit. It takes a full year to learn a job, and if you quit before then it can be a black mark on your career. Instead of quitting, learn skills that make your job easier. Consider taking on a side project where your passions lay and focus on perfecting all your job processes.
Quitting is a legitimate move if you have exhausted all other options and you have put in enough time to know you tried. Give it a solid year of effort and evaluate your situation.
