Moby Is Giving Away Four Hours Of Free Music

I always have been an advocate of free music, free art, free software and sharing in general. That is not to say that artists and creatives should work for free. On the contrary​, these are people we should celebrate and support financially and morally.

Just recently Moby announced he's giving away four hours of quiet music for meditation yoga and relaxation free of charge.

The music is really really really quiet, as he described it. There are no drums, no vocals, just very slow calm pretty chords and sounds. I'm a really really really big fan of his work, so this was a nice treat to listen and chill with.

Of course, you can also support him and buy​ the tracks. What's more, Moby is encouraging his fans to share it and give it away. He adds: "it’s not protected or anything, or at least it shouldn’t be."

8 years ago he also launched mobygratis, an online platform where he put a huge library of his unreleased music to be used freely among independent and non-profit filmmakers, film students, and anyone in need of free music for their independent, non-profit film, video, or short.

I guess it's true, the best things in life are free!
