Decentralised systems Versus decmocracy

There are similarities between decentralisation and democracy. I am referring to decentralisation in terms of cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology. They both empower people at every level of the society. However, the people themselves should be active and participative.

Recently, there has been an emergence of a number of decentralised platforms. There are decentralised marketplaces, decentralised exchanges and decentralised social media among others. These have one thing in common: decisions are made by all users/participants. They normally use the voting system.

As you know voting system is a hallmark of democracy and now it is also a hallmark of decentralised systems. I have written a lot on decentralisation. Today I will just highlight two of these decentralised systems.

Brave browser has brought a lot of changes in the digital world. People can freely use a browser that serves their interests. At the same time, they get paid in a token called BAT. The use of the token is a means to empower the users as they gain economically.
