The biggest Japanese colony outside Japan is in Brazil and it has more than 1,500,000 people in the Brazilian territory, mostly in São Paulo.
This picture was taken in a big Japanese celebration in Atibaia, a tiny city near São Paulo capital city, called "Strawberry Celebration". It takes place every year and congregates thousands of Japanese!
The flags symbolize the Olympic Games that happened in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and the next that will take place in Tokyo in 2020.
