A couple of years ago I started reorganizing my music collection and my journey into compiling it into mixtapes begun. This is how "Smokin Beats" was born. A fine collection of laid back tunes with groovy beats to enjoy with a smoke. Of course, I don't encourage smoking. Smoking is bad, m'kay!
Because every mix tells a story, and each song is a character in a play, the order in which they are laid down acts as the backbone of that particular story. There are countless combinations. It could take me years to come up with a story, putting together a collection of 12-15 tracks. It's not an easy task when you experiment with different styles until the right balance is achieved. Diversity is something I seek in all of my musical journeys. Enjoy another mixtape by yours truly!
