Angikuni Village was small village on Lake Angikuni in Region of rural Nunavut in Canada.
In 1930 something happened in this village as whole population of village which was around 2000-3000 got disappeared.
Every one came to know about this mass disappearance when Joe Labelle was a Canadian fur trapper visited the village in November day in 1930. He knew that this village exists as he had visited in past as well.
To his shock he did not found single human or animal in the village. When he searched for people in all huts , he found that all the food & other provisions were as it is.
There was not even any footprints in snow which could give any clue about where all villagers have gone.
Joe Labelle telegraphed about this incident to Canadian Mountain police & then search for Angikuni Villagers began. What police found was even more horrifying as they found that even graves were also empty & seven sled dogs that had been starved to death and were buried under the snow. Other villages reported seeing blue light in night which faded in darkness.
After doing many research it was revealed that village was deserted probably 2 months before Joe Labelle discovered this. But no one knows where did villagers gone.
There have been many stories about disappearance of the villagers but all have been dismissed by police. & they also stated that "It is also believed that such a large village would never have been possible in such a remote area".
